Kyle Newacheck’s “Game Over, Man!” is perhaps one of the most befuddling Netflix releases since Adam Sandler’s dreadful “The Ridiculous 6.”
Opposite from the titular mantra, “Far Cry 5” doesn’t stray away from its most recent design philosophy in both positive and negative ways. The experience feels incredibly refined gameplay-wise but doesn’t make any great innovative leaps beyond what the series has already done so well.
It’s rare that a film can be called genre-defining, and even more rare for that film to be directed by someone who is new to that genre, but John Krasinski’s “A Quiet Place” does just that. The film brings the viewers into the fold, making them feel as if any noise they make may endanger the family on screen.
