Hofstra wrestling takes on NCAAs

The Hofstra wrestling team headed to Tulsa, OK, from March 16-18 for the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) championships. The Pride sent two wrestlers: Jacob Ferreira at 184 pounds, who qualified for the tournament with an at-large bid, and Trey Rogers at 197 pounds, who qualified after placing 5th at the Eastern Intercollegiate Wrestling Association (EIWA) championships.

The Resurrection of Adrian St. Germain

Adrian St. Germain trained his whole life to be a great wrestler. In 2019, the three-time high school state champion experienced the culmination of his 14 years of work when he started wrestling at Hofstra University. He redshirted in his first year, and in January 2020, he won his first collegiate match. Things were going well, and he was just starting the wrestling career he had always dreamed of. Less than a year later, though, that was all taken away, and St. Germain faced the hardest challenge of his life. Confronting a long recovery and an uncertain future, the lessons he learned from wrestling would help him exceed every expectation.

Small, Hoyle and Knighton-Ward all reach podium as Hofstra wrestling finishes 12th in EIWA tournament

For the 118th EIWA Championship, the Hofstra wrestling team headed upstate to Ithaca, New York, to take on various wrestlers across the Eastern Intercollegiate Wrestling Association (EIWA) conference. This year’s championships weren’t the first rodeo for some, as Ricky Stamm, Ross McFarland, Charles Small, Trey Rogers and Zachary Knighton-Ward all competed for the Pride at last year's EIWA Championship. Justin Hoyle also previously competed, but at the 116th Championship in 2020.

Pride wrestling falls to Drexel after dropping final six matchups

After the two victories, Drexel improved to 5-6 overall and 4-2 in league play, whereas Hofstra is now 2-10 overall and 1-4 against EIWA opponents. Overall, the Pride is now 19-19 all-time against Drexel.
