After a second-half goal for the fifth-seeded Georgetown University Hoyas, the Hofstra University women’s soccer team lost 1-0 in the first round of the NCAA Division I Women’s Soccer Championship at Shaw Field in Washington, D.C., making Hofstra’s all-time record against Georgetown 0-2-1.

The Pride won after going into overtime and defeating the Hawks 5-4 on penalty kicks.
The Hofstra’s women’s soccer team took a 2-1 loss to the Stony Brook University Seawolves on Sunday, Oct. 23, at Hofstra Soccer Stadium. The loss put the Pride as the No. 8 seed for the upcoming Colonial Athletic Association (CAA) playoffs.
The Hofstra women’s soccer team kept their hopes of defending their Colonial Athletic Association (CAA) championship crown alive by defeating the College of Charleston 2-1 on Sunday, Oct. 16. The two teams met in the midst of being tied for ninth place in the conference standings, and the win for Hofstra significantly increases their chances of qualifying for the conference tournament entering the final week of the regular season.
The Hofstra women’s soccer team claimed a 2-1 victory, their first in five matches, against the University of North Carolina-Wilmington (UNCW) Seahawks on an exceptionally wet and windy evening on Oct. 14. It was a pivotal Colonial Athletic Association (CAA) game with playoff implications for both team, and the Pride emerged on top with a point out from a playoff spot in the CAA.
For the third time this season, the Hofstra women’s soccer team came away neither the winner nor the loser, as the Pride’s match against the University of Delaware on Sunday, Oct 9, ended in a scoreless draw that featured a combined 12 shots on goal between both sides throughout 90 minutes of play.
On Thursday, Oct. 6, the Hofstra women’s soccer team narrowly lost to the Drexel University Dragons, who lead the conference 3-2, at Vidas Field in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Hofstra slipped to 6-6-2 overall and 1-3-1 in the Colonial Athletic Association (CAA).
On Sunday, Oct. 2, the Hofstra women’s soccer team lost to the Northeastern University Huskies 2-1 at Parsons Field in Brookline, Massachusetts. Hofstra now sits ninth in the Colonial Athletic Association with an overall record of 6-5-2 and a conference record of 1-2-1.
The Hofstra women’s soccer came away with a tied final score for the second time this season, as they ended Thursday night's away match against Monmouth University in a 1-1 draw. Dagny Run Petursdottir netted the lone for the Pride in the contest with an assist from Krista Agostinello. Despite the low score, the two sides combined for 23 total shots in the contest, with Hofstra having a 12-11 majority. Ellen Halseth and Thorhildur Thorhallsdottir each led Hofstra with four total shots. Monmouth’s Rachel Ludwick had four shots of her own for the Hawks.
The Hofstra women’s soccer team struggled to score a goal on Sunday, Sept. 25, in a 2-0 loss to College of William & Mary (W&M) at Hofstra Soccer Stadium.
Thursday night at the Hofstra Soccer Stadium, the Hofstra Pride women’s soccer team won their first ever meeting with the Hampton University Pirates by a score of 8-0 to begin their Colonial Athletic Association (CAA) title defense. The Pride moved to 6-3-1 on the season, as well as 1-0 in conference play.

The Hofstra Pride women’s soccer team improved their record to 5-2-1 with a 1-0 victory over the Princeton University Tigers on Thursday, Sept. 15 at Hofstra Soccer Stadium. The win marked a bounce-back effort by the Pride after dropping their previous game to the University of Oregon Ducks on Sunday night.
On Sunday, Sept. 11, at Hofstra Soccer Stadium, the University of Oregon Ducks surmounted rainy conditions to defeat the Hofstra women’s soccer team by a score of 1-0, handing Hofstra its first home loss this season. This win snapped a five-game winless streak for the Ducks in the process.
The Hofstra women’s soccer team paid a visit to Philadelphia on Thursday night and left with a 1-0 victory over the Saint Joseph’s University Hawks. The Pride improved its record to 4-1-1 as goalkeeper Skylar Kuzmich recorded her fourth shutout so far this year.
