It’s been more than a month since the stay-at-home order has been put into effect, but that doesn’t necessarily mean people have run out of ways to pass the time – many have been trying to find other alternatives to keep themselves entertained.

For instance, some pursue new hobbies, find something exciting to watch on Netflix, or perhaps re-discover the magic of Disney! After all, it’s never too late to look back at some of the classics. So, sit back, relax and log on to Disney+ to watch movies, both old and recent, that have been loved and celebrated for many years. Here are ten movies on Disney+ that should definitely be re-visited.

  1. “The Little Mermaid” (1989)

Life is certainly better under the sea. Dive into an adventure with Ariel and the gang and rediscover part of their world like never before!

  2. “Beauty and the Beast” (1991)

A feel-good heartfelt tale as old as time with amazing songs, characters and animation, “Beauty and the Beast” is one of the most perfect Disney movies of its era.

  3. “Aladdin” (1992)

Fly away on a magic carpet ride to a whole new world with “Aladdin.” This movie has everything it needs: romance, comedy, memorable and relatable characters, unforgettable music and more.

  4. “The Lion King” (1994)

Hailed as a Disney Renaissance classic, “The Lion King” is definitely another must-watch on the list as this coming-of-age film goes on a journey through the great circle of life. It’s all Hakuna Matata from here!

  5. “Mulan” (1998)

A film that was way ahead of its time and lives up to its standards even today! This movie defines courage, honor and bravery as Mulan shatters gender norms, showing girls everywhere that they can do anything.

  6. “The Princess and the Frog” (2009)

Take a trip to New Orleans and check out this underrated gem from the modern era. Not only does it have a culinary feel to it, as a lot of amazing dishes are mentioned throughout, but the music is truly remarkable and entertaining.

  7. “Tangled” (2010)

Even if you’re at home practicing social distancing, it’s hard to be bored while watching “Tangled.” After all, Rapunzel has been doing the same for the first 18 years of her life, and she sets a pretty good example!

  8. “Frozen” (2013)

Although the song “Let It Go” has been overplayed since the movie’s release seven years ago, “Frozen” itself is worth re-watching, with notable characters such as Anna, Elsa, Olaf and Kristoff, to name a few!

  9. “Moana” (2016)

Set sail with Moana for an extraordinary adventure with an excellent storyline, hilarious and interesting characters and an impressive deeper meaning. Discover how far she will go to achieve her goals. A must-watch for all!

  10. Marvel Cinematic Universe (varied)

Now that Marvel is a division of Disney, there’s more than just one reason to log on to Disney+ and rediscover the Marvel Cinematic Universe! The MCU is certainly worth revisiting, with interesting storylines, amazing action sequences and hilarious, memorable characters. With over 20 movies to choose from, it looks like now is the perfect time to start an MCU marathon!
