‘Killers of the Flower Moon’ is Scorsese’s latest masterpiece

‘Coming 2 America’ revisits Eddie Murphy classic

After over 30 years, “Coming 2 America” serves as the long-awaited sequel to the 1988 comedy “Coming to America.” The film is centered around the African king, Akeem, who returns to America after discovering he has a long-lost son in the United States. Starring Eddie Murphy, the movie premiered on Friday, March 5 on Amazon Prime Video and is currently available to stream with a Prime subscription.

‘Lionheart’ and voices of cinema

This past week, “Lionheart,” the first Nigerian film ever reviewed for an Academy Award for “Best International Feature” was disqualified from consideration on the basis of excessive English language dialogue. The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences has long maintained a regulation on the amount of English spoken in films submitted to this award category, citing that there is a gray area with regard to which films are international enough to qualify.
