After nearly a year without a new EP, rapper Qveen Herby finally released “The Muse” on Tuesday, Feb. 14.
“Her Loss,” the highly anticipated collaboration album from Drake and 21 Savage, is finally here, having touched down on all major streaming platforms on Friday, Nov. 4. The project spans one hour and includes 16 songs in total.
Hofstra Concerts’ annual Music Fest, held last Saturday from 1 p.m. to 7 p.m., featured rides and performances from headliners PVRIS, Kirk Knight and Cruisr, with opening acts by Aaron West and The Roaring Twenties and The Last Great Kings.
Today’s rap game is flooded with so-called “SoundCloud rappers,” as the popular music-sharing platform has given rise to a mass of new stars. Austin Post, better known as Post Malone, also achieved great success on the platform with the release of his single “White Iverson” in 2015. His second studio album, “Beerbongs and Bentleys,” dropped on April 27 and received platinum status after a matter of days.
On “Lil Boat 2,” Yachty’s second studio LP out now on Quality Control/Capitol/Motown Records, the rapper treats us to both personalities equally, failing to be good at either.
On “Culture II,” Migos aptly demonstrates why they are at the very top of their class. While not necessarily known for their lyrical density, their beats continue to be positively infectious, with thunderous baselines aimed at completely obliterating your subwoofer.
