The Hofstra men’s soccer team was defeated by Marist College at Tenney Stadium on Wednesday, Sept. 25, by a score of 3-1. The loss brought the Pride’s record to 4-4.
Luca Tausch is currently one of the most exciting athletes on the Hofstra men’s soccer team. The defensive-minded sophomore midfielder has shown that he is one of the hardest workers on the field, committed to bettering himself, as well as those around him.

Ana Martinovic led the way for the Pride with 15 kills, while sophomore Ade Owokoniran led the Blue Devils with 16 kills.

The Hofstra Pride field hockey team secured its first victory of the season on Wednesday, Sept. 11, notching their first win under new head coach Courtney Veinotte. Senior Alex Masai transferred to Hofstra University in January 2018 and in one cross country season broke the 8K school record, became Hofstra’s first ever Colonial Athletic Association (CAA) conference champion and was named the CAA Men’s Cross Country Runner of the Year. This season, he aims to be among the nation’s top 10 runners.
