Giordano's extra inning RBI gives softball the 9-8 win in series opener vs Drexel

The resilience of the Hofstra softball team was on full display on Friday, April 12, when they came back to defeat the Drexel University Dragons on the road by a score of 9-8 in eight innings. The Pride scored the game’s final five runs, bringing in four of them to tie it up at eight in the seventh inning before adding a ninth and final run to secure their victory in the extra inning. 

Myint's success continues as softball beats Stony Brook

The Hofstra softball team may not have struck first, but they bounced back from an early deficit to beat Stony Brook University 6-1. The win snaps a two-game losing streak and gives the Pride their 16th win of the season, one game above .500. Mackenzie Suto got the starting nod for the Pride, pitching a complete game and earning the win. 

Softball splits doubleheader to begin CAA play

The Hofstra softball team kicked off Colonial Athletic Association play today by splitting a doubleheader against the College of Charleston, winning Game 1 3-0 and losing Game 2 4-3. Madison Burns and Mackenzie Suto got the starting nod in the circle, with Burns picking up the win in the first and Suto getting tagged with a no-decision in the latter game.

Impressive pitching leads Hofstra to doubleheader sweep

The Hofstra Pride softball team completed its sweep at the St. John’s Invitational with a 5-0 win over College of the Holy Cross and an 11-1 win over Wagner College on March 17. They now have won their last five games and have nine wins in their last 10 games, bringing their record to 11-11. Mackenzie Suto and Madison Burns started on the mound for the Pride, each earning a win and combining to give up only one run. 

Softball sweeps doubleheader with two shutouts

The Hofstra softball team kicked off their weekend with a 6-0 win against Norfolk State University and a 2-0 win against the University of Albany in the first two games of the Blue and White Classic in Norfolk, Virginia. Pitchers Madison Burns and Mackenzie Suto earned the wins, combining for 14 innings of scoreless softball.
