On April 6, the season finale of Cartoon Network’s “OK K.O.! Let’s Be Heroes” premiered, entitled “You’re In Control.” The series, created by “Steven Universe” alumnus Ian Jones-Quartey, first aired in August 2017 and has arguably become one of the most unique cartoons on television.
Kyle Newacheck’s “Game Over, Man!” is perhaps one of the most befuddling Netflix releases since Adam Sandler’s dreadful “The Ridiculous 6.”
Opposite from the titular mantra, “Far Cry 5” doesn’t stray away from its most recent design philosophy in both positive and negative ways. The experience feels incredibly refined gameplay-wise but doesn’t make any great innovative leaps beyond what the series has already done so well.
It’s rare that a film can be called genre-defining, and even more rare for that film to be directed by someone who is new to that genre, but John Krasinski’s “A Quiet Place” does just that. The film brings the viewers into the fold, making them feel as if any noise they make may endanger the family on screen.

The year was 2008: YouTube was still in its infancy, Fred was only then becoming popular, PewDiePie had not even been heard of yet and the internet reviewing community was just getting started. At the forefront of this community was Doug Walker, better known as “The Nostalgia Critic.”

I recently was granted the opportunity to attend a preview screening of the film “Midnight Sun,” starring Bella Thorne and Patrick Schwarzenegger. Thorne is known for her comedy roles in projects such as Disney Channel’s “Shake It Up” and the film “Blended,” starring Adam Sandler.
On “Lil Boat 2,” Yachty’s second studio LP out now on Quality Control/Capitol/Motown Records, the rapper treats us to both personalities equally, failing to be good at either.

Brooks himself said that a film like “Blazing Saddles” could never get made today, in the realm of political correctness and progressive attitudes. Similarly, Brooks’ “The Producers” would most certainly be problematic if made today. Originally filmed in 1967, “The Producers” went on to become a smash Broadway musical and a middling 2005 remake.
In its attempt to get to the root of why “Jessica Jones” is so special, season two of Netflix’s “Jessica Jones” takes way too long to actually kick into high gear. It’s only after the first half of the 13 episodes where the show’s momentum finally starts to take hold – and the season then becomes a tense, complicated experience that’s actually interesting.

Somewhat less known is Nichols’ work on the 1996 film “The Birdcage,” a remake of the popular French comedy “La Cage Aux Folles.”
