  • The committee wants to continue to educate faculty on how to express language and tone when acknowledging students who have been affected by sexual assault.
  • Make sure that students become more aware of the safety mechanisms and procedures that are provided for them on campus.
  • Make sure that students are aware of Hofstra’s medical amnesty policy. This policy ensures that if a student was intoxicated while sexually assaulted, they will not be penalized.
  • Reinforce the idea that Hofstra University cares about its students before its image.
