As a part of ESPN's 30 for 30 documentary series, Tuesday, April 13, viewers saw the premier of No Crossover: The Trial of Allen Iverson directed by Steve James. The documentary takes an in-depth look at NBA legend Allen Iverson's hometown of Hampton, Virginia and how it was rocked by the happenings of the "Bowling Alley Brawl," where a seventeen year old Iverson was convicted of a felony charge when he hit a girl over the head with a chair after an argument with a group of white people.

In the West, the Los Angeles Lakers are looking to defend their title taking on the young guns of the Oklahoma City Thunder. Game one of the series saw the Lakers dominate the early portions of the game and not relinquishing their lead. Both big names in the game, 2008 MVP Kobe Bryant and third year sensation and 2010 scoring champion Kevin Durant, were held to 24 and 21 points, not exactly an all-star performance from both players.

A week after Tom Pecora ended his career with the Pride, a new career began as Tim Welsh was introduced as Hofstra University's head basketball coach on April 1, 2010. After a two-year hiatus from a coaching career that included ten years with Providence College and an assistant job under Jim Boehiem at Syracuse in the early 1990's, Welsh returns to the sidelines at the Mack Sports Complex.
