As a part of ESPN's 30 for 30 documentary series, Tuesday, April 13, viewers saw the premier of No Crossover: The Trial of Allen Iverson directed by Steve James. The documentary takes an in-depth look at NBA legend Allen Iverson's hometown of Hampton, Virginia and how it was rocked by the happenings of the "Bowling Alley Brawl," where a seventeen year old Iverson was convicted of a felony charge when he hit a girl over the head with a chair after an argument with a group of white people.

Hofstra junior guard Charles Jenkins followed up a CAA Player of the Year season by winning his second straight Haggerty Award. The award goes to the best player in the Metropolitan New York Area, selected by the Metropolitan Basketball Writers Association.
"It means a lot," Jenkins said. "It shows I continue to work as hard as I can."

In the West, the Los Angeles Lakers are looking to defend their title taking on the young guns of the Oklahoma City Thunder. Game one of the series saw the Lakers dominate the early portions of the game and not relinquishing their lead. Step 1: Pecora leaves

Fordham University athletics called Hofstra athletics to ask permission to interview Tom Pecora for their head coaching vacancy. "The Fordham situation is a little different then when these normally occur because I had worked at Fordham in the late ‘90's for three years," said Hofstra athletic director Jack Hayes.

A week after Tom Pecora ended his career with the Pride, a new career began as Tim Welsh was introduced as Hofstra University's head basketball coach on April 1, 2010.
