Tapas serves beer and wine

By Jessica Lewis, News Editor

Lackmann has made drinking on campus much easier for students. The new on-campus restaurant, Tapas, is now serving alcohol to students 21 and over.

Beer and wine will be served from 5 to 11 p.m. "[Tapas will  serve] one drink at a time, while [students] are dining in the dining room," said Director of Dining Services and Lackmann Culinary Services Richard Maha.

Liquor sales will be rung up as a separate transaction from food and must be paid for in cash. According to Maha, students will be required to show a driver's license or a state identification card, just like any other restaurant.

Students will now be able to order beer or wine with their meal at Tapas Restaurant on campus. (Sean M. Gates/The Chronicle)
