"WikiLeaks has posted a video on its website which it claims shows the killing of civilians by the US military in Baghdad in 2007.

The website's organisers say they were given the footage, which they say comes from cameras on US Apache helicopters.

An electrical fire in the basement of 248 Lenox Ave. in Uniondale brought fire trucks, an ambulance and the University's Public Safety to the residence on Wednesday morning. Nassau County Fire Department reported that there were ten University students occupying the house at the time of the incident.

On February 27, 2010 a dozen University students will embark on the European Odyssey Program and spend 10 weeks traveling throughout western and eastern Europe while taking four courses. This is the twentieth anniversary of this unique program, which began in 1990 as a summer program in the Netherlands and eventually expanded to become the University's only semester-length study abroad program.

I swish around in my sleeping bag as I hear the roosters crowing in the distance. I pull myself out of my slumber, throw my old jeans and t-shirt on and head to the latrine and sink outside. Eventually, we head down the dirt-covered road to our host Myra's, house, where a lovely breakfast sits of rice and beans, eggs and fresh fruit. We make conversation with her children and laugh when someone makes a mistake in Spanish. After that, we head to the worksite where I participate in the hardest physical labor of my life.
